I'm back =)

I've been on tumblr for years now, and I hate to admit that I've abandoned my blogspot for so long.. but now I'm back =)

Why?

For a couple reasons. First of all, blogging on tumblr just doesn't seem appropriate all the time. It gets reblogged onto my facebook (which I do appreciate but not all the time. I like to be able to vent without everyone seeing it ;) Plus, Having a space on blogger makes me feel like I'm actually journaling, not just posting random tidbits that make me laugh/reflect.

Secondly, I feel more comfortable adding loads of pictures and making photolog entries on here =) Flickr has limits (I didn't renew my Pro Account since I wasn't taking as many pictures... at least until Mia was born haha)

Oh and for anyone who used to follow me and hasn't been updated, I am now a mommy =) And oddly enough, the title of my last blog entry is [MIA].. and my daughter's name is Mia haha

So.. I'm proud to introduce you to my beautiful baby girl
Mia Charlize Tungol

She was born on October 27th, which puts her at 4 months old on Sunday =) It's been a crazy 4 months since that day, but I absolutely love being a mother and wife to the two most important people of my life. Right now she's sleeping peacefully, and I'm taking a break from laundry and cleaning for a little breather!

Anyway, I'll post more photos and such soon.. I'm glad to be back on here.. I'll still have my tumblr account, but blogger is my home again. =)

that's right, i'm going to discontinue updating this blog, but i will still continue to have it up.. mainly for nostalgic reasons.

StumbledUpon this article that, as simple as it is, was like clouds parting to let sunshine in my life..

I've been saying how hectic my schedule is nowadays, but I'm thinking, I could clear things up a bit..

This semester is going by great so far though.. I'm not only keeping my head above water in my classes.. I'm actually getting ahead! My commitment to work is getting a little rocky though.. and I'm kind of worried about it.. At the same time, I know that if I focus more on work, I'm going to mess up with school like I have in years past.

Today is a good day. =) AND I managed to find time to buy JJ some lunch =)

fresh reminder

So I spent a good hour with a friend of mine today.. I don't ever really talk to him too much, mainly because I never realized we had anything in common. He's a big time basketball player, and I'm definitely not. haha

Anyway, we picked up his girlfriend from the airport today and I learned from the car ride home that they hadn't seen each other in 3 months. He's been busy in the Philippines and she's been home in Florida with her family.

The INSTANT they saw each other as I pulled into the "arrivals" section of O'Hare, they were both ecstatic! The whole car ride, they held hands, her arms reaching around the seat separating them. They called each other baby and just shared how their day went (being a super lazy fatty, I was exhausted just LISTENING to the conditioning drills they both did today.. who wakes up at 6am to play basketball - for fun?!) But despite the contrast in our daily lives, it reminded me about how happy I was whenever JJ and I spend just days apart from each other.. actually even just one night alone, I am just as excited to hear him walking down the stairs in the morning.

I'm aware how (overly) dramatic my last post was.. but not to worry. I am still very much in love with my baby =)

It's just a very rough patch at the moment.. focusing on money, school, work, and each of our own personal time has really fried the two of us this semester.. things will get better eventually though :)
